No Incidents At Neo-Nazi Fest

Though officials were on alert over potential violence associated with a recent neo-Nazi music festival near Boise, Idaho, the show apparently took place without incident.

Hammerfest was organized by the white supremacist group Hammerskin Nation and staged on private property in remote Canyon County, police told the Idaho Statesmen.

“It was in the Melba area,” Corporal Bill Jarrett said. “But we didn’t have any calls or real problems with it at all. It was pretty uneventful, overall.”

The group advertised Hammerfest online in the leadup to the fest. Though one website had named Boise Centre as the venue, officials later confirmed the building was not hosting the event.

Antipathy Records, which identifies itself as a “white nationalist” record company that supports “the HSN,” referenced the fest in a Facebook post Oct. 6.

“Thanks to everyone who has made it possible for several hundred of us to gather,” Antipathy said. “Thanks also to the Boise people and law enforcement that have respected our rights and welcomed us into their city. We are having a great time and we will see you again soon. For all you antis and Commies, next time bring your A game. You’ll need it.”
