The Stone Roses Make 2013 Plans
When The Stone Roses first announced in October 2011 that the band planned to reunite in spring 2012 for an extensive world tour, reporters asked the members how long the reunion tour would last.
Singer Ian Brown said, “We will ride it as long as we can,” according to BBC News. Drummer Alan “Reni” Wren responded that he “would be happy with 12 months.”
Marking the band’s first dates in more than 15 years, so far the tour has included gigs throughout Europe as well as China. In March the British alternative rock band will take on Australia, beginning with a show in Doomben.
Here’s the schedule:
March 2 – Doomben, Doomben Racecourse
March 3 – Joondalup, Arena Joondalup
March 9 – Randwick, Randwick Racecourse
March 10 – Melbourne, Flemington Racecourse
March 11 – Adelaide, Bonython Park
A presale begins Friday, Oct. 12. Tickets go on sale to the general public Thursday, Oct. 18.
