Deadmau5 To Headline First ‘Contact’

There’s a new EDM festival on the calendar. It’s called “Contact” and it’s taking over the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, in late December. With Deadmau5 “Unhooked,” the one-night-only affair will also feature Nero, Alesso, Chris Lake and Lazy Rich.

Presenters Blueprint Events and Live Nation Canada are definitely excited about the first-ever “Contact.” They’re calling the electronic dance music blowout scheduled for Dec. 26 the “largest to happen in Western Canada.”

Powered by Canada’s mega-telecom/media outfit Rogers, not only is it the first “Contact” but it will be the first electronic event held at BC Place Stadium.

As to what the “Unhooked” in regards to Deadmau5 means, Deadmau5FAQ.com sez it’s different in that “It’s just Deadmau5 with his music gear, nothing else.”

While “Contact” is an all-ages show, VIP areas will only be available for those 19 and older. The presale began today and tickets go on sale Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. local time. Click here for more information.
