Kimbra Picks Up
Six NZ Noms

Kimbra took out six nominations for the Nov. 1 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards. 

The NZ-born Australian-based singer songwriter’s Vows, which went gold in NZ after debuting at No. 3, is up for album of the year against Opossom’s Electric Hawaii and self-titled albums by Home BrewSix60 and The Adults

 
Kimbra is also in the running for best pop album, single of the year for “Warrior,” best female solo artist, breakthrough artist and the people’s choice. Currently touring through the United States and Europe, she will perform at the ceremony at Auckland’s Vector Arena
 
Rappers Home Brew and drum & bass group Six60 are up for five “tuis,” and singer-songwriter Gin Wigmore has four noms. 
 
Chris Knox’s pioneering punk band Toy Love will receive the New Zealand Legacy award.
