Stevie Nicks Discusses Fleetwood Mac Tour

Stevie Nicks says the next Fleetwood Mac tour is still planned for 2013 with rehearsals taking place sometime around late February. During a recent interview she added that the band is also considering recording some new tunes.

The singer/songwriter told “CBS This Morning” in July that a Fleetwood Mac reunion would happen “next year … so far.” Now she’s getting a little more specific about the timeframe fans can expect Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie together on stage once again.

“We go into rehearsals somewhere around the end of February,” Nicks recently told ABC News Radio. “So … if everything goes to plan, we should probably be out [on the road] by end of April [or] May, I would think.”

And as far as new music, Nicks says the band might record “maybe like two songs, maybe four, who knows? We don’t really know yet ‘cause we’re not in the world of Fleetwood Mac yet.” The members are “just still in talks” about the idea.

One of the possible songs Nicks says she’s going to suggest is a tune that didn’t make the cut for the 10-track LP Buckingham Nicks, which Nicks and Buckingham released in 1973 before joining Fleetwood Mac. ABC News Radio points out that the album was never released on CD.

Fleetwood Mac last toured in 2009.
