Yes, it’s been two decades since the very first House Of Blues, with Aerosmith, Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi and others among its investors, launched in Cambridge, Mass., Nov. 26, 1992.

Now the chain is marking the big 2-0 with an anniversary celebration. With major sponsors Citi and Hertz, House Of Blues is planning tours throughout the U.S. featuring bands such as Flogging Molly.

Plus, for every ticket sold for one of HOB’s 20th anniversary concerts, one dollar will go towards “Action For The Arts.”

But right now there’s only one firm date to tell you about. The celebration begins with ZZ Top playing the House Of Blues on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood Dec. 4.

Along with ZZ Top’s electrified Texas boogie, the Dec. 4 show will also feature tasty creations by House Of Blues celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez, debuting a newly created menu during a pre-show reception at Crossroads at House Of Blues and will host a three-course culinary extravaganza in the club’s Foundation Room.

“For two decades House Of Blues has been a special home for fans and performers to share musical moments and memories unlike any others,” HOB CEO Ron Bension said. “As we head into our next 20 years and the next 20,000 performances, we wanted to make sure we celebrate in the way we know best: showcasing the greatest music of today and tomorrow.”

Citi is the official credit card for the Dec. 4 ZZ Top show and cardmembers get first crack at tickets via a presale beginning Oct. 17 through the company’s Private Pass program. Click here for details.
