With upcoming October gigs in California and Arizona Calexico is touring in support of Algiers, its first studio album released in four years. Written and recorded by Calexico main members Joey Burns and John Convertino, the album’s sessions took place in a reconverted church located on the outskirts of the Algiers neighborhood in New Orleans, hence the name.

With the final tour leg set to begin in mid-January, Calexico will welcome special guest Trampled By Turtles Jan. 20 and co-headline with Yo La Tengo Jan. 25 & 29.
