Stagecoach Camping Revisited

Goldenvoice is revising its camping policies for the Stagecoach Country Music Festival.

Camping at this year’s event unfortunately included a 17-year-old girl being sexually assaulted when she used the restroom facilities, and dozens of alcohol-related arrests.

The 2013 edition eliminates tent and car camping, and forbids rental recreational vehicles.

Acceptable RVs will have a capacity limit of six and RV owners needed to submit a formal application at the festival website by Oct. 15.

Camping at subsequent festivals could have relaxed restrictions or camping could be eliminated completely, Goldenvoice CEO Paul Tollett told Southern California’s Press-Enterprise.

Next year’s three-day event in Indio, Calif., is headlined by Toby KeithLady Antebellum, and Zac Brown Band.
