Ozzfest Japan
Sharon Osbourne posted a video on Japanese promoter H.I.P.’s website announcing that Ozzfest will come to Japan for the first time ever next May, specifically May 11-12 at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center just outside of Tokyo.
Likely it will be the first date on an Ozzfest tour.
No acts have been announced yet, but Osbourne had already told the music website Triple M that Black Sabbath will “definitely” be touring Australia next year after they finish up their new album, so there is a good chance Ozzy will be bringing his original group to Japan.
However, the band has contract issues with original drummer Bill Ward, who was not included in recent Black Sabbath festival dates, and guitarist and songwriter Tony Iommi’s cancer treatment forced him to sit out a major tour.
The dates were changed to an “Ozzy And Friends” bill.
