The Walkmen Team Up With Father John Misty

The Walkmen are getting 2013 started with nearly a dozen U.S. and Canadian shows scheduled in January. Father John Misty – the artist formerly known as J. Tillman – will be coming along for most of the gigs. Tickets for select dates will be available later this week.

Both acts released new material this year. The Walkmen put out its seventh studio album, Heaven, in May on Fat Possum Records. After leaving his post as drummer for The Fleet Foxes in January, Tillman released Fear Fun in April on Sub Pop as the first album under the moniker Father John Misty.

In June The Walkmen celebrated the album release with a sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom. The show was live streamed by Spotify and filmed by La Blogotheque. Check out a clip of the band performing Heaven’s title track below.

Father John Misty will appear at all of the January dates, with the exception of Jan. 11.
