Okay, maybe not the entire band appeared on KROQ’s Kevin & The Bean morning show. However, Lindberg, along with Pennywise’s Fletcher Dragge managed to get up bright and early to make it over to the radio station for the big announcement.

Pennywise and Lindberg split in 2009 in what could be called an amicable parting, thus leaving the doors open for the newly announced reunion. Ignite vocalist Zoli Teglas has fronted the band since 2010.

It’s not like Lindberg has been resting. Before he left Pennywise, the singer saw his book – “Punk Rock Dad” – published. The book about balancing a music career with raising a family eventually became the impetus for the film, “The Other F Word,” and featured Lindberg along with many of his musical peers, including Everclear’s Art Alexakis and Rancid’s Lars Fredericksen.

Back to the reunion. Lindberg’s first public performance with Pennywise since rejoining the group will be at Southern California’s Hollywood Palladium January 18. When announcing the show on KROQ, Lindberg and Dragge said it would commemorate the band’s 25th anniversary.

KROQ Street Teamers get first crack at the tickets via an Oct. 31 presale. The general onsale launches Nov. 2. Visit PennyWisdom.com for more information.
