Emkay Donates Shirts
Event merchandiser Emkay Designs is doing its part to help its community after Hurricane Sandy.
The Long Island-based T-shirt company may have been without power, but it wasn’t short on free merch.
The call went out on Facebook that the company, having received some requests for clothing donations, had approximately 3,000 random T-shirts to donate to the cause.
What it didn’t have, however, was UPS delivery options. The company’s Matthew Kebart told Pollstar that New York’s Hot 97 came out and picked up some shirts early Nov. 6, and Clear Channel (Z100, KTU, Q104 and Power 105) was expected to drop by within 24 hours.
Party 105 on Long Island coordinated with a local charity to arrange a pickup as well, Kebart said.
