Pearson To Head Graphite

Indie music pioneer Ben Turner appointed former IPC Media exec Tim Pearson as managing director of his management and branding services company, Graphite Media.

Pearson, who joins the Graphite team with immediate effect, brings with him 20 years of experience in music and marketing industries, most recently as head of marketing and events at IPC, where he was in charge of live events for the NME and Uncut brands for almost five years.

He’ll help oversee the development of Graphite as it enters its second decade in business and attracts interest from American companies looking for its expertise in the EDM space, driving the company forward and bringing in new business.

“We are renowned for doing interesting and innovative projects, and we aim to continue to do so but with added strength, vision and firepower,” Turner said of his new appointment.

Graphite manages music and technology icon Richie Hawtin and BBC Radio 1 and Bestival curator Rob da Bank.
Recent projects include Smirnoff/Diageo’s association with David LaChapelle and Liam Gallagher’s first ever brand endorsement with the Philips docking speaker range.

Graphite is also the preferred Global Talent Agency for Smirnoff and has delivered endorsement deals with Sennheiser and Richie Hawtin, and a long-term collaboration between W Hotels / Starwood and IMS in Ibiza.

Turner is also a director of the Bestival festivals, co-founder of the Association of Independent Festivals and co-owns the Ibiza International Music Summit with Pete Tong.
