Pink Fans Embrace Mobile

Australian ticketer Ticketek reported that traffic on its mobile site hit an unprecedented 178,811 visitors when Pink tickets went on sale Oct. 17.

“We have seen a massive growth in mobile adoption in the live event space, and seeing such a big response to Pink just serves to further validate our investment in the technology and reinforce our commitment to continuing to develop our mobile platform,” said Cameron Hoy, Ticketek Australia’s managing director.

Pink shows number 39 (June 25 to Sept. 5) as of Nov. 5, when Live Nation announced her 15th show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena.

Even more shows are likely, as Pink is a superstar in Australia.
