AEG China:
Enoch, Cerha Named GM

AEG has two new general managers for venues in China.

Industry vet Michael Enoch will be the new GM of the 18,000-seat Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai while Mike Cerha will take on the same title at the similar-sized, under-construction China National Games Arena in Dalian.

Enoch officially takes charge Nov 12 in the latest stop on a 35-year career in sports, convention, casino and entertainment businesses including stints at Amway Center in Orlando, the Rose Garden in Portland, Ore., Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand.

Cerha makes the move to China in time for the National Games Arena’s grand opening as host of the China national Games in August. Cerha, who will oversee the final stages of construction at the venue, comes most recently from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn., where was senior director of event operations, working for the Memphis Grizzlies.
