Puscifer On Parole In Australia

We’re not sure exactly which crime Maynard James Keenan might have committed, but whatever it was, the parole for the rocker must stipulate that he must keep on touring and touring around the world with Puscifer. Next up is Australia in February.

The set of Australian gigs is the latest leg of the “Conditions Of My Parole Tour.” The tour takes its name from Puscifer’s second studio album, which was released in fall 2011.

Marking Puscifer’s inaugural trip Down Under, the Australian excursion includes three shows:

Feb. 22 – Brisbane, The Tivoli
Feb. 26 – Newtown, Enmore Theatre
Feb. 28 – St. Kilda,  Palais Theatre

Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 16.

The band has more international dates lined up for 2013. On March 31 Puscifer plays Lollapalooza Brazil in Sao Paulo. The group will also be at Lollapalooza Chile, which takes place April 6-7 in Santiago.

Puscifer, described by its PR reps as an “eclectic rock-meets-theatre troupe,” features Tool / A Perfect Circle singer Keenan along with current touring vocalist Carina Round, guitarist Josh Eustis, bass player Matt McJunkins and drummer Jeff Friedl.

An announcement on the band’s website notes that in addition to singing some songs in Australia, they might have some time to “possibly crush some grapes.”

Keenan is a fan of crushing grapes. He owns Merkin Vineyard and Caduceus Cellars in Jerome, Ariz.
