Rihanna’s 777 Routing Announced

Rihanna has confirmed the cities she’ll be visiting on her “777 Tour,” which begins tomorrow, Nov. 14. Organizers of the mystery tour are keeping a few specifics to themselves until the last minute. You’ll have to keep waiting a bit longer to find out the venues.

The 777 Tour takes its name from the length of the tour and number of shows, as well as its transportation.

When the excursion was first announced, the details we knew for sure were that Rihanna would play seven intimate shows in seven days in seven countries, beginning Nov. 14. Oh, and one of the destinations was somewhere in the U.K. The singer said she planned on traveling aboard a chartered Boeing 777 twinjet with a group of die-hard fans and 150 journalists representing 82 countries.

Earlier this month The Sun claimed to have tracked down the seven cities. Now we have the routing straight from Rihanna’s website.

As the site proclaims, “the subject of global speculation shrouded in secrecy for one solid month is finally revealed.”

Nov. 14 – Mexico City, Mexico
Nov. 15 – Toronto, Ontario
Nov. 16 – Stockholm, Sweden
Nov. 17 – Paris, France
Nov. 18 – Berlin, Germany
Nov. 19 – London, United Kingdom
Nov. 20 – New York, N.Y.

Rihanna plans on announcing the venues directly to fans when she arrives in each city.

“I am so excited about the 777 Tour,” said Rihanna. “We are turning this jumbo jet into our tour bus. We’re practically living on this thing for a week: sleeping, partying, all together. Me, my fans, the press … it’s going to be a wild ride. I wanted it to be a rock ’n’ roll adventure, and I think when it’s over it will be the coolest thing I’ve ever done. I’m that excited about it.”

The tour is sponsored by HTC Corporation. River Island, which is co-sponsoring the London show, pointed out last week that the tour celebrates the release of Rihanna’s seventh album in seven years. Unapologetic is due out Nov. 19. Microsoft is co-sponsoring the Paris show.
