Taylor Swift Sells Swiftly

If today is any indication, Taylor Swift’s “The Red Tour” may already be in the black. The country superstar has sold out 14 shows, including stadiums in Toronto, Detroit and Chicago. A few new dates were also added to the schedule.

All signs indicate tickets were being gobbled up at warp speed, resulting in Toronto’s Rogers Centre selling out in five minutesm, Detroit’s Ford Field in 10 minutes, and Chicago’s Soldier Field in 25 minutes.

Swift’s arena gigs were also selling out quickly with her two Staples Center shows in Los Angeles vanishing in one minute. Swift fans scooped up tickets for her two concerts at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C., in five minutes. Same goes for her two shows at Atlanta’s Philips Arena – gone in 300 seconds.

As you can probably guess, popular demand has resulted in promoter The Messina Group/AEG Live adding a few shows.

A second concert is now scheduled for June 14 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Tickets go on sale Nov. 23.

Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., is now the proud owner of a second Swift performance, scheduled for July 26. Tickets go on sale Nov. 17.

Los Angeles is doubling down on Swift. Having begun the day with two concerts set for August at the Staples Center, promoters have added two more. Scheduled for Aug. 23 & 24, tickets for the newly added gigs go on sale Dec. 7.
