Michael Dunford Dies

Michael Dunford, 68, the composer and guitarist for Renaissance died Nov. 20 after suffering a brain hemorrhage at his home in Surrey, England.

Dunford got his start playing in a skiffle group in the U.K. in the ’60s and went on to form several rock bands before joining Renaissance.

The band released more than a dozen albums before parting ways in the ’80s, but reunited occasionally over the years.

Earlier this fall, Dunford composed and arranged the music on Renaissance’s first new studio album in 12 years.
