Bjork Goes Big Top

Bjork’s brand of circus is hitting the City of Light for a string of shows in February, when she’ll set up shop in a circus tent on an island in the Seine.

The Icelandic singer brings her “Biophilia” live show to Paris for four intimate, in-the-round concerts at Le Cirque En Chantier Feb. 21 through March 2. She’ll also play two larger shows in the round at Zenith Paris arena March 5 and March 8.

“Biophilia” is a multimedia project as well as the name of Björk’s eighth full-length studio album. The project combines music, apps, installations and live shows.

Alongside the concerts, Bjork also plans to bring an educational program to town during her stay. She did something similar in NYC in February, when she collaborated with the New York Hall of Science to produce three weeks of interactive science and music workshops for middle-school children.

Tickets for the concerts go on sale Dec. 10.
