March Temblors From Alabama Shakes

With stops ranging from Idaho to Mississippi, Alabama Shakes announces details about the band’s headlining March tour with stops in fine locales such as Denver, Salt Lake City, New Orleans and Dallas.

The band is touring in support of its very successful debut album – Boys & Girls – which has sold more than 325,000 copies and has been hailed as one of the best discs released in 2012.

But Alabama Shakes has more than just its album released in April. The band’s latest song, the road-tested “Always Alright,” is featured in the rom-com-drama “Silver Linings Playbook” starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence and featuring performances by Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker, Julia Stiles and others.

With U.S. dates scheduled for the first half of March, Alabama Shakes’ touring calendar for the first few months of 2013 is beginning to get busy. The band performs on Australia’s “Big Day Out” traveling festival in January, hits “Lollapalooza Brazil” in late March and stops at “Lollapalooza Chile” in early April.
