The year-old digital solutions company – which offers access control, cashless payment and social media access for festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Lollapalooza and Tomorrowland – also has bases in Montreal, Denver and London.
“With Australia having such a vibrant live events scene, I’m thrilled to be able to play a part in its growth,” said CEO Serge Grimaux in a statement.
The Sydney office will be run by its director of business development, former Ticketek executive Dion Brant.

“Mushroom has followed the evolution of Intellitix since Coachella in 2011,” Brant informed Pollstar. “Together with (Hong Kong-based founder of Live Ltd.) Colleen Ironside and others, they decided to also come on board to help make RFID technologies available to Australia and New Zealand and Asia.
“Intellitix could not have wished for a better scenario landing into new territories, its first foray in the Southern Hemisphere, being surrounded by such highly credible and experienced industry veterans.”
