Rolling Stones’ Brooklyn Guests Announced

Mary J. Blige will once again be sharing the stage with The Rolling Stones. After helping kick off the 50th anniversary arena shows as one of the special guests in London, the singer is making an appearance at the band’s Brooklyn, N.Y., show this weekend.

The first of three scheduled “50 and Counting” U.S. gigs takes place Dec. 8 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Saturday’s second special guest has been revealed as Gary Clark Jr.

During the Nov. 25 gig at London’s O2, which also featured special guest Jeff Beck, Blige took the mic on “Gimme Shelter.” Beck teamed up with the band on “Going Down.” Bassist Bill Wyman and guitarist Mick Taylor also stopped by to perform with their old bandmates. 

Eric Clapton and Florence + The Machine singer Florence Welch were the special guests for the second night at The O2, Nov. 29.

The Stones will be in Newark, N.J., next week to play the Prudential Center Dec. 13 & 15. Special guests for the Newark shows have not yet been announced.
