Fogel Inks Live Nation Extension

Arthur Fogel has inked a long-term extension to continue as Live Nation Entertainment’s chairman of global music and CEO of global touring, the company announced Dec. 17.

Fogel, who has been with Live Nation since its launch as a spinoff from Clear Channel Entertainment in 2005, has promoted or produced LN’s biggest tours including those of U2, Madonna, and Lady Gaga, and his long-term artist clients number Sting, Neil Young, Rush and David Bowie among them.

“We are delighted that Arthur has decided to continue his illustrious career at Live Nation,” said Michael Rapino, president and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment. “We look forward to continuing to expand our global touring activity under Arthur’s leadership.”

Neither LN nor Fogel revealed the length of the contract extenstion, saying only that it is long-term. But Fogel is clearly in for the long haul.
