Lady Gaga, Virgin Mobile Continue Relationship

You’re bound to see a lot of Virgin Mobile signage at Lady Gaga’s 2013 shows. The Mother Monster and the wireless phone service provider are extending their relationship into the new year to raise awareness of homeless youths in LGBT communities.

Yes, wherever Lady Gaga goes on her 2013 Born This Way tour, you can expect Virgin Mobile to be there. Together they are calling on fans to support Virgin’s Re*Generation program focused on youth homelessness and Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

To help increase awareness, one fan at each show will be selected to have a $5,000 donation made on his or her behalf to a local youth homeless shelter. The fan will also be given the chance to increase the donation’s amount by spreading the word socially or by volunteering. The word is the fan will also “get a special surprise” from Lady Gaga.

But the good work doesn’t stop there. Virgin Mobile will also give fans plenty of chances to get involved. For example, audience members will be encouraged to tweet photos of themselves, with Virgin Mobile donating one dollar to a local youth homeless shelter for every photo tweeted. For Lady Gaga’s Canada run, Virgin Mobile Canada will be urging fans to donate to Re*Generation through a text-to-donate program.

“We’re excited to be extending our partnership with Virgin Mobile after all of the success we’ve had together in the past, and all of the lives we were able to change,” Lady Gaga’s manager, Troy Carter, said. “We look forward to continuing to make a difference together.”
