Ore. Rave Settles Complaints

Officials say Marion County has settled with most of the people it sued after an unauthorized outdoor rave in July.

The Albany Democrat-Herald reports that sheriff’s deputies and State Police troopers responded to numerous complaints about loud music, traffic congestion, parking problems and rowdy participants during the event outside Jefferson. The town is in southern Marion County.

The property owners and a rental company are to pay a total of $6,000, the producers a total of $5,000. All must write a public letter of apology.

Equipment providers are to pay a total of $750.

The county said the event violated the county’s noise ordinance, and there was no permit for the gathering.
