Allman Brothers Band Reveals 2013 Beacon Dates

The start of the new year means it’s time to announce the dates of The Allman Brothers Band’s annual New York City residency. The band will once again take over the Beacon Theatre for 10 dates in March.

“Yes, it’s that time,” Greg Allman said. “The Beacon run is always magical. The room sounds great, lots of familiar faces and the band really stretches out. After Macon, New York is really our second home. There’s just something about it, and our fans know it.”

The Beacon Theatre residency is scheduled March 1-2, March 5-6, March 8-9, March 12-13 and March 15-16.

You never know who could join the band on stage. Special guests have previously included acts such as Eric Clapton, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bruce Hornsby, Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Herring, Widespread Panic, Taj Mahal and Johnny Winter.

Tickets go on sale to the public Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. EST.

In addition to the Beacon Theatre run, the Allman Brothers have also lined up a previously announced appearance at Eric Clapton’s annual “Crossroads” benefit show, which takes place April 12-13 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. The band will also play two nights at the Wanee Festival in Live Oak, Fla., April 19-20.
