Marc Maron’s ‘Out Of The Garage’ Tour
Maron’s twice-weekly podcast comes to you from the comfort of his garage, where he’s interviewed comedians and celebrities over the past three years including Robin Williams, Sarah Silverman, Ben Stiller, Louis C.K., Ira Glass and Judd Apatow.
The podcast actually began secretly after hours in the Air America studios after Maron was fired (for the second time) from the now-defunct liberal radio network.
Maron has big plans for 2013. His half-hour scripted series “Maron” will begin airing on IFC later this year and he’s also got a new book coming out. But as Maron says in the bio on his website (WTFPod.com), “I am first and foremost a standup comic. I have appeared on TV, in film, on the staff, in print, on the radio, but all I ever wanted to be, and what I am now, is a stand up comic.”
The “Out Of The Garage” tour will include a “WTF Live” show with special guests on a few select dates. The outing begins Feb. 1 in Albany, N.Y. Here’s the schedule:
Feb. 1 – Albany, N.Y., The Egg
Feb. 2 – Washington, D.C., Sixth & I Historic Synagogue
Feb. 8 – Boston, Mass., Wilbur Theatre
