Rivera Jet Records Sought

The family of a passenger killed in a plane crash that also claimed the life of singer Jenni Rivera has filed a petition in Chicago to force the Learjet 25’s manufacturer to identify all those who had owned, operated and repaired the aircraft.

Rivera’s makeup artist, Jacob Yebale, was among the seven killed when the Learjet crashed Dec. 9 in northern Mexico.

Yebale’s family filed the request Jan. 2 to compel Bombardier Aerospace and its Learjet division to turn over data on the aircraft’s history.

The petition for discovery was filed in Cook County Circuit Court in Illinois because Bombardier does a substantial amount of business in the state.
