Essence Reveals 2013 Lineup
Scheduled July 4-7, the festival once again takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Now that we’ve covered the confirmed main stage acts, let’s talk about the acts you’ll see over at the “SuperLounge.” Fans will be treated to performances by Anthony David, Big Daddy Kane, Blackstreet, Bridget Kelly, F. Stokes, Jody Watley, Kourtney Heart, Leela James, Les Nubians, Mia Borders and Mint Condition.
Essence offers more than just great music. The festival also holds “daily seminars on healthy living, career and work advice, education reform, civil rights, relationships, style, beauty and more.”
The lineup of speakers at the “Empowerment Stage” includes Donnie McClurkin, Dr. Steve Perry, Noel Jones and Tramaine Hawkins. Reverend Al Sharpton and Rep. John Lewis will also be at the fest.
Weekend tickets start at $130.50 (plus additional taxes and fees) for seating in the terrace level. VIP ticket packages are also available with front, center-stage seating at the Superdorme; VIP all access passes backstage with complimentary cocktails and food; VIP seating at the Essence Empowerment Experience and more.
Single-night tickets will be sold closer to the festival weekend.
