Cohn Event Benefits Many

Veteran promoter and manager Bruce Cohn again raised many thousands of dollars for charity through his annual B. R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival Oct. 5-8.

The festival held at B. R. Cohn Winery & Olive Oil Company in Glen Ellen, Calif., included performances Oct. 6-7 by The Doobie BrothersBuddy GuyWarThe Turtles featuring Flo & EddieKenny LogginsDave Mason and others.

Highlights included an Oct. 5 charity auction and five-course dinner and an Oct. 8 celebrity golf tournament at Sonoma Golf Club.

This year’s festivities were in memory of late Doobie Brothers drummer Michael Hossack, who died of cancer in March.

A portion of the proceeds will be divided among Sonoma Valley Education Fund, Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance, Redwood Empire Food Bank, The Guardsmen, Operation Homefront and American Legion Post 489.
