YouTube Star Live-Tweets Suicide
Seattle-area hip-hop artist and YouTube personality Freddy E died Jan. 5 of a self-inflicted gunshot, apparently moments after posting a series of tweets describing his preparations and saying goodbyes to family and friends.
Freddy E, whose real name was Frederick E. Buhl, died in Renton, Wash., leaving the final tweet: “If there’s a God then He’s calling me back home,” preceded by “It’s… all… bad… y’all. * puts finger around trigger *”
The host of the popular YouTube program “Jerk TV,” Freddy E, 22, was known for his satirical and profane segments and skits, often laced with cutting social commentary and cautionary messages, according to the Seattle Times.
The program’s website listed more than 65,000 subscribers and nearly 7 million video views over the span of “Jerk TV,” the paper reported.
