Chelsea Light Moving Making Some Moves

With Sonic Youth still on an indefinite hiatus, that’s given Thurston Moore plenty of time to do his own thing including his work with his new band Chelsea Light Moving. The group has announced a release date for its debut album and a U.S. tour.

Chelsea Light Moving’s self-titled debut is due out March 5 (March 4 in Europe) on Matador Records. The band features Moore as singer/songwriter/guitarist along with Samara Lubelski on bass, Keith Wood (aka Hush Arbors) on electric guitar and drummer John Moloney. Lubelski played violin on Moore’s last two solo albums – Demolished Thoughts and Trees Outside The Academy.
