Animal Collective Announces North America Tour

Once Animal Collective gets back from Australia the experimental rock band will be headed back to stages in North America. The excursion includes gigs in Massachusetts, Tennessee and Utah, as well as a few stops in Canada.

Animal Collective is touring in support of its ninth studio album, Centipede Hz. The album was released in September on Domino Records.

Last week Animal Collective announced it was forced to cancel its Jan. 14 show in New Zealand because its equipment wouldn’t arrive and clear customs in time for the performance. The band’s show in Newtown, Australia, was also postponed. The tour Down Under, which includes several “Big Day Out” gigs, will now kick off in Newtown Jan. 17 and run through Jan. 28.
