Rhodes Exits ICM Partners

Terry Rhodes, veteran agent for acts like The Beach Boys and Anne Murray  has left his post at ICM Partners and could reemerge as early as next week.

Rhodes co-chaired the agency’s adult contemporary division alongside Steve Levine, although his personal client roster was in the single digits and included Richard Marx and Bryan Adams (Rhodes and Adams manager Bruce Allen are longtime acquaintances). Where he is heading is unknown, but there have been well-worn rumors that Jeff Berg, former ICM chairman, is opening a boutique agency near his former employment and Rhodes could be headed in that direction.

The office could have a partner in Jeff Franklin, who owned American Talent International, selling package tours in the early ’80s. He sold ATI to ICM, with ATI’s day-to-day manager, Bill Elson, running ICM’s music department.

Anne Murray has not toured since 2008, and The Beach Boys, after the 50th Anniversary tour with its classic lineup, has reverted back to Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and the musicians that tour with them on the fair circuit.
