Comedy Central To Yuk Up Vegas
Set for the Feb. 22-23 weekend, the shows are divided between Attell and Norton playing the MGM Grand Hollywood Theatre Feb. 22-23 and Schumer, Swardson and Jeselnik appearing separately at the Terry Fator Theatre at The Mirage.
All comedians have various connections to Comedy Central. Attell was the host/writer of “Insomniac With Dave Attell” which ran for four seasons and resulted in one-hour specials. These days Attell hosts “Dave’s Old Porn” on Showtime where he provides play-by-play commentary on old skin flicks from the 1970s and ’80s.
Along with doing stand-up, Norton is the best-selling author of such tomes as “Happy Endings: The Tales Of Meaty-Breasted Zilch” and “I Hate Your Guts.” The comedian also appears on Sirius XM’s “Opie & Anthony Show” and is touring nationwide by himself as well as part of “The Anti-Social Network.”
Schumer’s 2012 one-hour special – “Amy Schumer: Mostly Sexy Stuff” – was one of Comedy Central’s most watched standup shows that aired last year. Her new series, “Inside Amy Schumer” debuts April 30 on Comedy Central and she embarks on her 2013 tour Feb. 28 in Cincinnati.
Swardson is also a familiar face on Comedy Central. The funny guy who’s currently starring in the flick “A Haunted House” is known for his sketch series “Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time” that aired on the cable channel 2010-11. You might have seen Swardson in his recurring role as Terry Bernardino on “Reno 911.”
Then there’s Jelsenik, known for getting nasty on Comedy Central’s celebrity roast specials. His own Comedy Central program debuts this month when “The Jeselnik Offensive” premieres Feb. 19.
The Attell/Norton shows at the Attell are scheduled for 9 p.m. Feb. 22 and 8 p.m. Feb. 23. All-inclusive tickets range from $59.99 to $79.99 and are available now.
Schumer’s Terry Fator Theatre gig is set for Feb. 22 at 10 p.m. Look for Swardson to play the venue Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Jeselnik Feb. 23 at 10 p.m. Tickets for all Terry Fator shows are priced at $39.99 plus service charges.
