Antone’s Moving

Antone’s in Austin, Texas, will move to a new location in late March.

Venue rep Frank Hendrix told the Austin Chronicle that offers are being considered for the 600-capacity club.

In 1975 the late Clifford Antone opened the venue as a showcase for blues artists such as Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Buddy Guy and John Lee Hooker.

Antone’s went on to be a stepping stone for various acts including Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmie Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Los Lonely Boys.
