Introducing Austin’s Tower Amphitheater

How does one drum up publicity for a brand new amphitheater when sheds from coast-to-coast spend every summer competing for the biggest names in music?  If you’re Circuit Of The Americas, you book one hellacious big act for opening night.  Like Kenny Chesney.

That’s the story in Austin, Texas, as Circuit Of The Americas prepares to welcome the public to its brand spanking new Tower Amphitheater.  With a capacity to host up to 15,000 concert fans, the venue includes fixed seating for 5,240, VIP seating and hospitality areas, 18 premium loge boxes and multiple areas for concessions on both sides of the stage as well as throughout the facility’s Grand Plaza.

But no matter how nice the amenities will be at the Tower Amphitheater, we’re guessing it’s going to be the Kenny Chesney concert that people will want to experience when the venue opens April 5.

“We’re thrilled to open our new Tower Amphitheater, which will be the largest outdoor entertainment venue in central Texas, with the No. 1 ticket seller in country music today,” Circuit Of The Americas president Steve Sexton said.  “Kenny Chesney is a remarkable and engaging performer, a true fan favorite and one of the elite touring artists in the world.  The Tower Amphitheater will showcase the biggest names in music, and for our very first show, it doesn’t get much bigger than Kenny Chesney.”

Along with hosting its first concert, the Tower Amphitheater will also host its first pre-show tailgate party April 5.  The venue sez its parking lots will open at 5 p.m., three hours before show time.  The main gates will open one hour later for “pre-concert festivities” and seating begins at 7 p.m, giving folks an hour to find their seats before opener Kacey Musgraves begins her set.
