No Lollapalooza In Tel Aviv?

Local reports suggest the Tel Aviv staging of Lollapalooza Festival (Aug. 20-22) has been scrapped, although at press time it wasn’t possible to find out why the Israeli version of Perry Farrell’s music extravaganza isn’t going ahead.

A week ago the American festival’s website sparked rumours that the Tel Aiv show was off by removing all reference to it.
Local promoter Ilan Elkayam of Plug Productions initially denied the show was off but has subsequently told local media it’s been postponed until 2014 for logistical reasons.

It wasn’t possible to get comment from Elkayam at press time.

The remaining events in Lollapalooza’s 2013 calendar are expected to go ahead as planned.

They are in Sao Paulo, Brazil (March 29-31), Santiago, Chile (April 6-7), and Chicago (Aug. 2-4).
