Catskills To Get A Taste Of Country

Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson & Family, Trace Adkins, Hunter Hayes and others are on board for the inaugural “Taste Of Country Music Festival” set for June 13-15 in New York’s Catskill Mountains.

Hailed as the “Northeast’s first large-scale country music festival” and taking place at Hunter Mountain Resort in Hunter, N.Y., the lineup also includes Montgomery Gentry, Joe Nichols, Gloriana, Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch, Blackberry Smoke and more.

Who’s doing all the heavy lifting to ensure the success of the first Taste Of Country Music Festival?  That would be Townsquare Media Group and “Mountain Jam” producer Chet-5 Festivals.  In fact, the Taste Of Country Music Festival will be held one week after this year’s Mountain Jam, slated for June 6-9.

Townsquare Media Group is pretty much what the name implies – a diversified media company whose assets include 244 radio stations, 250 companion websites plus 350 music and non-music events every year.  The company’s digital properties include TasteOfCountry.com, Diffuser.fm, Ultimate Classic Rock, Loudwire and others.

Evidently the folks behind the event do not expect the Taste Of Country Music Festival to be a one-time affair.

“We are very excited about our new partnership with the Townsquare Media Group,” Chet-5 Festivals’ Gary Chetkof said.  “Combining our experience producing the Mountain Jam Music Festival along with Townsquare Media Group’s assets makes for a powerful partnership that will produce a world-class country music event for many years to come.”
