Country In The City
The Big Apple has recently been touted as a top market for country album sales, despite a noticeable absence of the genre on the city’s radio dials for 17 years.
That changed Jan. 21, when rock station WRXP switched format to debut Nash FM. The station, owned by Cumulus Media, will apparently serve as the flagship of a national country brand.
Talks of a corresponding publication and a music video channel are also in the works.
