UNLV Now The Future
University of Nevada-Las Vegas officials are moving forward on a plan to build a state-of-the-art, 60,000-capacity domed stadium and events center on campus that has been in the works for more than a year.

The estimated $800 million UNLV Now project would feature a 100-yard-long HD screen, two clubs, six 300-seat VIP suites and 50 standard suites seating up to 24 people, according to the Las Vegas Sun.
In addition to hosting UNLV’s sports teams, the facility would also be used for concerts, festivals, UFC bouts, tournaments, soccer and numerous other events.
The Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents will meet with involved parties Feb. 22 to hear more details of the plan during a public workshop.
If approved, the facility could break ground in the next two years with a goal of opening in 2017, the Sun said.
