Faith & Begorrah! The Allman Brothers Add A Beacon Date

Fans could be downing green beers during this gig.  The final date added to The Allman Brothers Band’s annual string of shows in New York City at the Beacon Theatre is March 17, otherwise known as Saint Patrick’s Day.

The Saint Paddy’s Day addition ups the number of Allman Brothers shows scheduled for this year at the Beacon to 11.  The residency now runs March 1-2, 5-6, 8-9, 12-13 and 15-17. 

The band will also play Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival benefit at NYC’s Madison Square Garden April 12-13 as well as the Wanee Festival in Live Oak, Fla., April 19-20. This year’s list of bands wanting to Wanee also includes Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band and Michael Franti & Spearhead.

Back to the March 17 concert.  A pre-sale American Express cardholders begins Jan. 31 and the general onsale starts Feb. 1.  As an added enticement, the first 2,200 fans buying tickets will receive Gregg Allman’s autobiography, “My Cross To Bear,” courtesy of Madison Square Garden and Live Nation.
