Jim James And The Giant Tour

As promised, the My Morning Jacket frontman has booked more solo gigs in support of his debut solo LP. At nearly 20 new dates, Jim James’ April-May solo outing could be called giant compared to his previous announcement of only three February headline shows.

In a statement James explained that he won’t be taking the stage alone.

“Hello friends! I have put together a special band of some of my oldest pals to help bring this album to life on the road! We are very excited about it and can’t wait to bring it to light! See ya out on the open road!”

Regions Of Light And Sound Of God is due out Feb. 5 on ATO Records.

Three days later James plays the MusiCares Person Of The Year Gala in Los Angeles, helping to honor Bruce Springsteen. The previously announced (and sold out) February headline dates are booked in Philadelphia, Brooklyn and New York City. James will also make an appearance at the Tibet House Benefit Concert in NYC Feb. 21.
