Troy Cassar-Daley won four gongs at the Golden Guitars country music awards, held Jan. 26 in the Australian country capital of Tamworth.
He took male artist, album of the year for Home, song of the year for its title track and single for “Country Is,” bringing his tally of the statuettes to 25.
Other winners who have toured the United States include Catherine Britt for female of the year, Kasey Chambers and husband Shane Nicholson for duo of the year (Nicholson also won in the producer’s category) while 90-year-old Geoff Mack – whose signature tune “I’ve Been Everywhere Man” garnered 130 covers including those by Johnny Cash and Rihanna – received a lifetime achievement award and a standing ovation.
