The Ding Dong Lounge punk rock venue franchise opened in Auckland Jan. 26, its second outside the United States.
The first was opened in NYC’s Upper West Side in 2001 by Bill Nolan.
Two years later, Cosmic Psychos drummer Bill Walsh set one up in Melbourne. The Auckland bar will be run by DJ Damon Kenzo, who spun discs at the NYC venue, and Mat Jorgensen of Auckland’s Forte Bar.
