Mumford & Sons brings you more “stopovers” in 2013, scheduling July through September weekends for their “Gentlemen Of the Road” adventure.  Joining the British folk band will be Vampire Weekend in the U.K., Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros in the U.S. and Canada.

Referred to as “Gentlemen Of the Road stopovers,” the idea behind the tour is to bring Mumford & Sons plus an abundance of acts to various towns that aren’t necessarily must-stops on the touring superhighway.  The result is a two-day event in each locale that combines the atmosphere and intimacy of community celebrations with top-tier music festivals.

With each town hosting the tour on a Friday and Saturday, the schedule calls for one act to headline the first day, Mumford & Sons the second.  Other bands are also appearing on each stopover, but at this time the actual day for each band has yet to be disclosed.

But one thing is for sure –  each stopover will feature a top-notch list of talent.  Acts appearing on one or more dates include fun., Alabama Shakes, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Vaccines, Mystery Jets, Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, Very Best Sound System, Hey Rosetta!, Dan Mangan, Willy Mason, Half Moon Run, Those Darlins and Bear’s Den.
