Fargodome Musing Major Update

The stadium and convention facility could be in for a more than $17 million update according to design sketches the local Forum obtained through an open records request.
The sketches reportedly show the addition of a 50,000 square-foot event center on the south side of the existing building that would include a 6,000 square-foot club room on the third floor and a sky lounge on the fourth floor.
Darrell Vanyo, the president of the board that oversees the building, told the paper existing shows “could use more space. Then if you had more space, you might attract shows you don’t even have now.”
The Fargodome has about $34 million saved up in its reserves that could help fund the project, but before any renovations could take place, the board will undergo a feasibility study, Vanyo added.
“We’re not just gonna spend it to spend it and have a structure that doesn’t bring in the money to keep it existing,” he said.
