Gary Clark Jr. To Play First-Ever Maverick Fest

Guitarist Gary Clark Jr. has certainly played lots of music festivals, including London’s Hard Rock Calling, Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits.  So it’s only fitting that the bluesman gets his own festival.

While not quite as big as some of the festivals Clark has graced with his exceptional musicianship, the inaugural Maverick Music Festival at La Villita Historic Arts Village in downtown San Antonio has plenty to talk about.  Along with Clark, the one-day event scheduled for March 23 will also feature performances by The Toadies, Girl In A Coma, Arum Rae, and Henry & The Invisibles.

Clark along with his management and partners are behind the all-ages festival, which begins with free events during the day, including performances by local musicians and evolves into a ticketed concert that same evening.

Tickets for the evening portion of the Maverick Music Festival cost $28 and are on sale now.  Click here for what you need to know.
