BBK Goes Viagogo

Viagogo has taken a major step in the Spanish market by becoming the “official ticket exchange partner” for the three-day Bilbao BBK Live festival.

The secondary ticketer has undertaken to provide fans with access to a range of tickets, as well as a secure platform to resell tickets they cannot use, right up to the last minute.

Tickets will be protected by Viagogo’s guarantee, which says buyers will get the tickets they’ve paid for in time for the event.

If not, the company says it will find a replacement ticket or provide a full refund.

“We’re delighted to sign our first official music partnership in Spain,” said Viagogo spokesman Ed Parkinson. “More than 100,000 fans enjoyed Bilbao BBK last year and we’re working with the organisers to offer even more access and better consumer protection at this year’s event.

“We are working with more and more festival organisers around Europe, who share our wish to provide a better experience for fans. As a consequence, we’ve seen a surge in demand for festival tickets on Viagogo as people realise the most important thing is to have a guarantee on their ticket,” Parkinson added.

Last year the 7-year-old event promoted by Last Tour International on the slopes of Mount Cobetas in the Basque region pulled about 36,400 per day and rivaled Vince Power’s Benicassim as the country’s best-attended festival.

This year’s event is July 11-13 and has already confirmed Green Day, Kings of Leon, and Depeche Mode.
